By Jon Nurse
January 10, 2013

Rush hour traffic was at a standstill after a car flipped on the A329(M).

A Renault Clio turned onto its roof after a collision with a Ford Fiesta at 7.45am, as it was travelling Reading-bound between the Coppid Beech roundabout and the M4.

Traffic has backed up in both directions.

The driver of the Clio, a woman in her 20s, has been taken to Royal Berkshire Hospital with minor injuries.

Crews from Wokingham, Wokingham Road and Bracknell fire stations were sent the to scene and helped paramedics lift the woman onto a spinal board.

Wokingham firefighter Brett Humphreys said: "There was one lady inside [the Clio] and she got herself out. She was very lucky - she ended up in the outside lane."

Two lanes were closed as firefighters moved the vehicles and tidied the road before fully reopening the motorway as they left at 8.55am.
