Bins burnt out in garage blaze

By Becky Barnes
January 07, 2013

A wooden garage nearly went up in smoke when fire ripped through bins in the early hours of this morning.

Firefighters from Bracknell and Camberley stations were called to two blazing wheelie bins by houses in Wentworth Way, North Ascot, at 3am.

Bracknell crew manager Richard Sage said: "The two bins were completely gone and the garage, a wooden structured car port, started to go up too.

"Residents had hit it with a garden hose which helped."

Crews tackled the flames within 45 minutes and saved the garage but the bins were destroyed.

The cause of the fire is not known but is under police investigation.
