Rail passengers face price hike from today

Commuters renewing their rail season tickets to London from Bracknell and Wokingham will face a rise in pruce from today.

People travelling from Bracknell to Waterloo will now pay £3,292 a year and people travelling from Wokingham £3,392.

Workers travelling from Reading to Paddington or Waterloo will have to pay £3,960 for an annual ticket, an increase of £160 on last year's price.

However, the rise is at least an improvement on the 6.2 per cent rise predicted earlier last year.
