Staff at an employment agency used their extensive business contacts to stage a quiz night and raffle for a children’s charity.
More than 100 clients of Reed in Bracknell enjoyed the supper night at the Grange Hotel, raising £1,380 for Sebastian’s Action Trust – £400 more than last year.
The money will mean that 23 seriously ill children and their brothers and sisters will be able to attend a magical Christmas party organised by the charity, set up by Binfield couple Jane and Michael Gates, at its holiday home The Bluebells.
Jane said: “The money Reed has raised will make a big difference to us in meeting the cost of this special day.
“It is hugely appreciated and we would love to hear from any other companies or individuals who would like to help us by sponsoring a child for Christmas.”
The takings at the Reed quiz were swelled by the raffle with luxury prizes donated by clients.
Top prize was an £800 watch donated by Citizen Watch.
Jemma Mitchell, an executive temporaries consultant with the High Street agency, said: “We asked all our clients to join us and to donate raffle prizes and we are extremely grateful for their continued support.”
