Elderly man's legs trapped in Ascot crash

By Becky Barnes
November 22, 2012

Paramedics are still on the scene of a crash treating a 72-year-old man whose legs have been trapped.

Medical teams including the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance are in London Road, Ascot, where a car and a small van collided at just after 3pm.

The road is blocked so drivers should expect delays.

Fire crews from Bracknell and Ascot stations rescued the elderly man from the van using cutting equipment.

An ambulance spokesman said it is expected he will be taken to hospital by road because of the windy conditions.
