Town centre regeneration drilling work to start
By Julie SpencerNovember 19, 2012
Bore holes are to be drilled at locations across the centre of Bracknell to prepare the way for the town centre regeneration.
Soil samples will be collected and the structure of the ground will be assessed over the next couple of months in a geotechnical survey of the area.
Bracknell Regneration Partnership said the work was crucial to help it understand the structure of the soil and rocks beneath the town centre.
Helen Barnett, marketing manager for BRP, said: “This is an important preparation step that must be carried out before any demolition or construction work commences.
“We will be endeavouring to keep disruption to a minimum and apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
Cllr Marc Brunel-Walker, executive member for economic development and regeneration, said: “Geotechnical surveying is vital for planning the construction of the buildings for Bracknell’s new town centre.
“It is another practical sign the regeneration is getting closer and the council and BRP are committed to making it happen.”

But I could be wrong .... at the very least, it does seem more likely than Wokingham’s "Regeneration" plan.

This seems to be more of the usual - say something, do something while actually doing nothing.
Come on 2015 - local and general election on the same day and hopefully we'll kick out the Tory wasters that have overseen the terminal decline of our town.
