A little girl was trapped in a car when it self-locked outside a house in Bracken Bank, Ascot, this morning.
A fire crew from Bracknell station attended at around 9.30am and freed the toddler within 10 minutes.
Firefighter Steve Blackman said the mum and grandma of the child who was 'about 18 months to two years old' attempted to entertain her through the window.
He said: "She was a bit upset but she was alright. Her mum and grandmother remained calm but were very pleased when the car was open."
Firefighter Blackman added the team thought they might have to smash the back window of the vehicle but managed to open the door causing less damage.
