Birch Hill shoplifter forced to compensate Co-Op

A shoplifter from Birch Hill will have to pay compensation to a supermarket.

Jake Greenwood, 18, of Evedon, admitted two incidents of shoplifting from the Co-op store in Bywood, Hanworth at Slough Magistrates Court on Monday, October 22.

Greenwood stole goods on July 18 and July 23 and was arrested by Birch Hill PC Michael Foot.

Greenwood will have to pay back £41.28 to the Co-op and was ordered to take part in four days of restorative justice requirement and attend probation appointments.

   One ileft wondering on how many other occasions he was not caught. In view of the likelihood that there were other occasions he should be paying more than £41.28 to the Co-op. As a minimum he should also pay for the staff time wasted dealing with his crime.
