Author Roger Long details the history of Crowthorne in new book

A Crowthorne historian and author has published a book and map detailing the history of the village.
Roger Long, 68, has produced a map of Crowthorne and its landmarks and written about the history of the area in his book ‘The Crowthorne Chronicles’.
He said: “I did them because there was nothing about Crowthorne in the local shops.
“I got the information for them from reading local newspapers and talking to people.”
Roger, of Napier Close, was helped by Brenda Allaway, who produced the artwork and took photos for the map and book.
The Crowthorne Chronicles is £5 and the map costs £7.50.
