Brave children and their families are the stars of a charity calendar made for Sebastian’s Action Trust by a generous Bracknell business.
Seventy photos of families from the area who have been helped by the Binfield children’s charity feature in 500 calendars donated by Bracknell Printroom on Friday.
Simon Lewington, marketing director of Bracknell Printroom, said: “Sebastian’s Action Trust looks after a lot of kids in Bracknell. We chose to do this because we support a lot of local charities.”
Bracknell Printroom, in The Broadway, gave the calendars to the charity at no charge and they will be sold for £6 in the hope of raising £3,000.
Jane Gates, Sebastian’s Action Trust director, said: “Bracknell Printroom has supported the Trust since the very beginning and we are incredibly grateful to the team there. All of the money from every single calendar sold will go directly to helping us to support families with a seriously-ill child, which is fantastic. We are delighted to have been able to include so many of the children we support and we are so pleased with the way the calendars have turned out.”
Jane’s son Sebastian, of Binfield, died of a brain tumour in 2003, aged nine. The Trust offers respite holidays to very sick children and their families at its home in Basingstoke.
The calendars are available to buy through the Trust’s website www.sebastiansactiointrust.org or from the Trust’s fundraising team on (01344) 622 500.
