Man dies after tree falls on cars in Ascot

A man has died after a tree fell on two cars near Ascot Racecourse.
Emergency services were sent to Windsor Road at 2.45pm, where a a grey Ford Mondeo and a blue Mini were struck by a falling tree.
The driver of a Mondeo, a 64-year-old man from Sheffield, and his wife were taken to Frimley Park Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time ago.
His wife's injuries are not believed to be serious.
A woman from the Mini has also been taken to hospital for treatment after being freed from the vehicle by the fire service. Her condition is not believed to be life threatening.
A number of roads are closed in the area, including the Windsor Road junction with Winkfield Road and the junction with the Peanut roundabout.
The closures are expected to be in place until at least 8.30pm and motorists are advised to avoid the area and find alternative routes.
The tree is being arranged to be removed.
