Sandhurst Farmers Market growing in popularity

By Becky Barnes
September 28, 2012

Two fruit and vegetable traders are the latest businesses to join a farmers’ market in Sandhurst.

Fresh fish, cupcakes, bread and sweets were some of the delicious foods on offer at the market at the town’s Memorial Park on Sunday, September 9.

Paul Widdowson, market organiser said: “It went very well. People are very pleased now we have managed to get the support of two fruit and vegetable stalls as that is what we were missing.

“We have limited the space for 24 stalls and this month we had 20.

“It was more successful than last month with many people off on their holidays or watching the Olympics.

“It was a glorious day and well attended.”

The farmers’ market will take place on the second Sunday of every month between 9.30am and 12.30pm.

I do hope that Barnett and Brunel-Walker are reading this and taking note ..... Can Mr Widdowson get the Market booked for Bracknell Town Centre .... big space at the bottom of the 3M tower .... and far better than the "Market" we have now ..... He has 20 stalls .... the "market" in Bracknell has 5? if that!?
