Coffee mornings held across Bracknell today

By Becky Barnes
September 27, 2012

Hundreds of people will be tucking into tea, coffee and cake across the borough this morning.

Businesses and organisations will be raising cash as part of Macmillan Cancer Support’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

Stella Krajewski, of Macmillan, said: “In our 22nd year of this event, we are looking forward to even more coffee and cake.

“We hope people in the local community call in to tuck into some home-baked treats to help make a difference and raise even more for people affected by cancer than last year.”

A selection of sweet treats and warm beverages will be on offer at:

n A Plan Insurance, in Yorktown Road, Sandhurst, from 10.30am

n Wyevale Garden Centre, in Forest Road, from 9am to midday

n Pinewood Cafe, in Nine Mile Ride, from 10am to 11.30am

n The Bird Table Cafe at Jennett’s Park Community Centre, in Tawny Owl Square, from 10am to 2pm

n Hollywood Bowl, in Skimped Hill Lane, from 10am

n South Hill Park, in Ringmead, from 10am

n All Saint’s Church, in London Road, Ascot, from 11am

Last year’s Macmillan coffee morning hosts helped raise a record £10 million for people living with cancer.
