Enjoy free wifi and computer sessions at Bracknell's libraries

By Becky Barnes
September 24, 2012

Free wifi and computer sessions are now available across Bracknell Forest libraries.

Library users can access wifi by showing an e+ card or library card at the counter or can book a time slot on a library PC.

Computer sessions can be booked on screen, at the counter, online or through customer services.

To book visit my.bracknell-forest.gov.uk/librarypcbookings/ or call (01344) 352 000.

Refurbishment work at Bracknell Central Library is on schedule. Two new lifts and a staircase are being installed, and a new space on the lower ground floor will provide a refreshment area, a relaxation and quick browse area, an area for young people and a meeting room for hire.

All services at the library will be available until the end of October, when there will be some disruption due to the building works.

Cllr Iain McCracken, executive member for culture, corporate services and public protection, said: “We’re always working hard to keep our libraries up to date and to improve our services.

“We hope existing and potential members will be pleased with the free wi-fi service across the borough.

“We’re also delighted that the refurbishment of the central library is on track and we look forward to unveiling the improvements towards the end of the year.”
