Q & A with Kelly KnightBy Becky Barnes
September 03, 2012
Kelly Knight, 28, from Bracknell, is a test coordinator at Gillette.
What is your favourite food?
What is your favourite holiday destination?
What was the last book you read?
What is your favourite TV programme?
What was your first pet and its name?
What is your favourite film?
That’s a tough one,
What painting or photo do you have on your wall or desk?
Who would your ideal dinner guests be? My ideal dinner guest would be someone that likes my cooking obviously. But - she was a wonderful and interesting person.
What car do you drive? I drive, cheap on fuel which is all that matters nowadays.
What is your biggest regret?
I think, not keeping in touch with people is one of the biggest, life’s fast paced, and people in your life are what matter, not the work hours, or the materials you have, or the amount of money you make but the people who make you laugh and stand by you through the hard times.
What makes you smile? The purr of my kitty cat, a day off, family dinners together, a cuddle after a long day from Oliver, when the sun shines (it’s so rare!) Ice-cream!
What was your first job?
Working on the tills in Safeway’s.
, I remember being paid £168 for a month’s work and feeling like the richest person ever.
What do you like about Bracknell Forest? I like that it’s full of greenery, trees, flowers, there’s places to go for picnics, and it’s the town I grew up in so it holds a lot of memories for me.
What is the one thing you would like to change about Bracknell Forest and why? I would like to change the way decisions are made by the council so that real people’s opinion mattered. The roads are still in dire condition with pot holes everywhere from the snow. There should be less money spent on tarting the place up, fix what’s broken, then whatever money’s left can go on making services better, like the Great Hollands Children's Centre getting some new toys, and the garden redone, or for the elderly to have more help with care.
