A burglar who broke into 10 homes across the borough in less than a month has been jailed for three and a half years.

Andrew Mascall, 32, of Downshire Way, committed the 10 burglaries between June 20 and July 17 and was convicted at Reading Crown Court on Friday, August 10.

He admitted one burglary and one attempted burglary and asked for a further eight burglaries to be taken into consideration.

Mascall broke into a home in Old Bracknell Lane East and stole valuables including a laptop and a camera on Tuesday, July 17.

The attempted burglary took place the day before in Swaledale but nothing was taken.

When he was sentenced for these crimes, eight burglaries were taken into consideration.

Mascall snatched a mobile phone, jewellery, camera and a laptop from Wildridings Road on June 20 and the following day stole jewellery and cash from a home in Wokingham Road.

On June 25 he broke into a house on London Road but nothing was stolen and the next day he stole a mobile phone, jewellery and cash from a home in Elizabeth Close.

On June 30 he broke into two homes in Rosedale Gardens and stole a laptop, cash and a mobile phone.

Mascall stole jewellery from Shepherds Lane on July 6 and jewellery and cash from London Road on July 15.

Det Insp Squire, of Bracknell CID, said: “I am pleased with the sentence which reflects the seriousness of the offences committed."

   ...indeed.

DI Squire now is it. Ooh, get you.

Little known fact: when scrotes like this get hauled in they have a special app on the camera to give the perps the kind of face only a mother could love. CrimCam from the Apple store £1.99 or CrimCam lite for free (loads ok then crashes perpetually and stuffs your phone with adverts).

In reality I'm certain Mr Mascall looks as lovely as a dashing beau from a period drama. And just as fragrant.
