The image of Prince Philip shopping in Bracknell on a mobility scooter won first prize in the town’s annual window dressing competition.

Bracknell Shopmobility received £100 for its Queen’s Diamond Jubilee window display featuring HRH The Duke of Edinburgh.

Bracknell Town Celebration prizes were presented on Saturday by Cllr Alvin Finch, deputy Bracknell Town Mayor.

He said: “The judges found the Bracknell Shopmobility window especially amusing.”

The runner-up of the best dressed town centre shop was opticians Norman Prince and Partners, who received £50 for Sebastian’s Action Trust.

The winner of the best dressed market stall was Sew Devine, who asked for its £100 prize to go to the Royal Berkshire Bracknell Clinic in Brants Bridge which works with patients with breast cancer.

Runners-up Lady Sew and Sew nominated the Bishopswood Special School in Sonning Common.
