Wildmoor Heath School musical aims to save the planet

July 20, 2012

Saving the planet was the message behind an end-of-year musical production at Wildmoor Heath school in Crowthorne.

Children played the part of jungle animals struggling to survive in a rainforest being cut down around them.

Parents, carers and friend were invited to two performances of The Ivory Forest on Wednesday, June 27, and Thursday, June 28, by the school’s juniors, with Year Six pupils taking the lead roles.

A school spokesman said: “The children really enjoyed the opportunity to perform a musical with an important environmental message.

“The stage, costumes and face paint were magnificent and colourful and made the audience feel they had entered a real forest.”
