Memories of great innings past and present have been preserved at Sandhurst Cricket Club with the unveiling of an honours board.
The board documents milestone runs and wickets from the past 26 years and is dedicated to founding club member Tony Speed who died this year.
Club president Dave Robinson and Tony’s son Andrew unveiled the board at a ceremony on June 29, watched by players, umpires and friends of the club.
It displays milestone runs and wickets, including centurions, six wickets or more taken by a player in an innings, top run scorers over a season and most wickets.
Dave said: “The clubhouse was packed as many names of past and present players were revealed which invoked many happy memories of great days of cricket.
“Sandhurst not only has a great depth of cricketing talent of all ages, but they have dedicated members who organise many off-the-field events. The club can only go from strength to strength.”
