Free Olympic torch event at Ascot Racecourse tomorrow

A free event to celebrate the Olympic Torch passing through Ascot will take place on Tuesday.

Ascot Racecourse will be open to the public with attractions including a fun fair, music and refreshments from 3pm to 7.30pm.

Karen Smith, PR manager at Ascot Racecourse said: “The Torch is expected to arrive in Ascot at 4.26pm and at the Racecourse itself at 4.35pm.

“The High Street will be closed for a period of time immediately before the arrival of the Torch until just after its departure.

“ Therefore, people should plan to arrive in good time.”

Car parks one, two, three, four and six will be free on a first-come-first-served basis from 2pm to 7.30pm with disabled parking available in all car parks.
