Bracknell's Olympic torch bearers

By Lucy Thorne
July 10, 2012

Nine runners will carry the Olympic torch through Bracknell on Tuesday.

Olympic torch will arrive in Ascot and Bracknell on Tuesday

There are two runners from Bracknell Forest taking part in the torch relay in their hometown. Richard March from Birch Hill will run the first leg of the relay and Sharon Barton from Warfield will run the final leg of the relay.

The torch will be starting its journey at New Forest Ride at around 5.30pm and it will be carried along London Road and Millennium Way where it will finish at Skimped Hill Lane at around 6pm.

Bracknell Forest Council has asked spectators to respect the Torchbearers at all times; to give them plenty of space while they are waiting at their exchange point, to stay out of the road at all times, to not approach the Torchbearer while they are on the route, and to be considerate to those around them who will also want to see the Torch and take pictures.
