A30 Bagshot crash man 'had cardiac arrest'

A MAN who died in a car crash on the A30 at Bagshot on Tuesday afternoon suffered a cardiac arrest at the wheel.

The Mercedes being driven by the 51-year-old, who lived locally, was in collision with a Nissan Qashqai at around 2pm.

A spokesperson for the Surrey Air Ambulance said the victim was pronounced dead at the scene after having a cardiac arrest. The Nissan driver was unhurt.

The road was closed in both directions for almost three hours while police carried out investigations at the scene.

Surrey Police said a post-mortem examination into the man's death was due to be carried out on Thursday.
