Derailment could cause delays until 4pm

June 18, 2012

A derailed train at a First Great Western depot in Reading means there are delays on services to a range of stations including London Paddington, Basingstoke and Henley.

There were no passengers on the train when it derailed but it is blocking other trains from coming out meaning around two-thirds of the fleet is out of action.

Network Rail says services between Oxford and Paddington, Greenford and Paddington, Reading and Gatwick, Maidenhead and Marlow, Reading and Basingstoke, Reading and Bedwyn and Twyford and Henley-on-Thames could be reduced until 4pm.
