End of the line for summer bus service
May 28, 2012
An under-used bus service will no longer run in the summer holidays after council bosses pulled the plug on its funds.
The 4C to Maidenhead run by Courtney Coaches was costing Bracknell Forest Council more than £50 a customer.
The bus company funds the service for the rest of the year and will make its own decision on whether to keep it running.
The council has also voted to remove £130,000 from its concessionary fares budget which was not being used, making a total saving of more than £136,000.
