Kids relax with end of term rave

By Becky Barnes

Anthems of the 80s filled a Bracknell church for a rave to celebrate the end of term.

More than 250 young people from the community aged 11 to 18 who attended the bash at Kerith Community Church were told to “think bright, think retro, think 80s”, with many dressing up in 80s-themed attire.

Youth pastor Liam Parker said “There was a great atmosphere.

“The young people came up with this idea because fashion was moving towards the 80s.”

The party took place at the church in Church Road on Friday, March 30. Anyone who goes to secondary school can attend weekly youth event LIFE at the centre in Church Road on Friday nights during term time.

The group runs events from open mic nights to formal balls with some preaching each week.
