Cigarette thought to have caused bin blaze in Binfield
By Hugh FortJanuary 25, 2012
A discarded cigarette is thought to have caused a fire in a bin which spread to a nearby fence in Binfield.
A crew from Bracknell fire station were called to Terrace Road South at around 4.30am this morning to find the bin had caught fire.
The fire had spread and ignited a nearby fence.
The crew used hoses to put the fire out in around 20 minutes.
The bin was destroyed, but the fence was not badly damaged.
Crew manager Scott Pay said the fire was probably caused by a cigarette or something else in the bin.
