Forest Park man Adam Blake has been jailed for perjury after he was caught speeding twice and lied claiming it was his granddad driving the car.

The 25-year-old has been sentenced to 16 weeks in prison after he admitted two counts of perjury at Banbury Magistrates’ Court today.

He has also been given a six-month driving ban after receiving six penalty points for two counts of speeding, taking his total to 15.

Blake, of Froxfield Down, was snapped by speed cameras in Bracknell in January and Surrey in March. On both occasions, when asked to declare who was driving the car, he said it was his granddad.

But police examined the photos and saw that it was Blake driving the car.
