Question time on mental health for election hopefuls

March 19, 2010

Bracknell's election hopefuls will take part in a question time session organised by a charity which helps people with mental health needs.

The Rethink charity has organised the event, which is held on Monday at Coopers Hill Community Centre in Crowthorne Road, Bracknell, to give people the chance to put questions to the borough’s election candidates.

The debate is likely to revolve around mental health issues and is open to anyone using mental health services in Bracknell.

Conservative Dr Philip Lee, Liberal Democrat Ray Earwicker, Labour’s John Piasecki and UKIP candidate Murray Barter will all appear at the event which starts at 1pm.

For more information call Alison Summersbey on (01344) 429 139.

I find it funny that this takes place at 1pm, when I and many other people will actually be at work.

Can't they do this after 7pm when people might actually be home?

Regrettably, my non-attendance had been previously communicated to the organisers of this event.

However, should any attendees or non-attendees wish to learn more on how the UK Independence Party would transform Britain, I would encourage them to visit http://www.ukip.org/content/ukip-policies
