Shinfield Manor homes plan public exhibition

March 17, 2010

The University of Reading is holding a public exhibition of its proposals for development at The Manor in Shinfield.

Residents can take a look at the plans for around 130 homes to replace the derelict site at St Mary’s Church Hall in Church Lane on Saturday from 10am to 1pm.

Alex Brannen, university spokesperson, said: “We are keen to consult with residents and businesses about our plans, which we believe will make a positive impact on the area, replacing the derelict buildings on the site with much needed homes.

“It will be the third phase of housing development on the site, and feedback is welcome.”

That must be some derelict site at the church hall if they can build 130 homes on it.
