Scaremongers guilty on global warming – join debate

February 18, 2010

The environment will be at the heart of some heated debate at a Crowthorne college at the weekend.

The topic for Wellington College’s big debate is ‘the prophets of global warming are guilty of scaremongering’ and it will take place on Sunday, February 25, with some top speakers.

Those proposing the motion are David Davis, MP for Haltemprice and Howden, and Philip Stott, professor of biogeography at the University of London.

Speaking against will be Times columnist David Aaronovitch and environmentalist and author Mark Lynas.

Doors at the Dukes Ride college open at 6pm and the debate will start at 7pm.
