Council tax to increase by 2.9 per cent

By Hugh Fort
February 17, 2010

Council bosses have announced a 2.9 per cent rise in its council tax precept.

Bracknell Forest Council’s executive gave the go-ahead to its budget proposals at a meeting last night.

Provided the council votes through the budget at its March meeting, the increase means band D properties will payan extra £31.32 a year, which equates to 60p a week.

Tintin, yes, I paid 10 months, which is normal. However, 10 months at £103 = £1030 for the year. Last year it said a band D was around £1060... it seems they have removed that from the article since I commented though?

My property is band C, but I was paying £103 a month, which means it cost almost as much as a band D last year... I don't really understand this. Is Forest Park on different rates to the rest of Bracknell?
