Pussy cats and mucky pups at Look Out event

February 09, 2010

Teeny tots like the little tiger above made a huge mess as they took part in craft-tastic events at The Look Out.

The children at the centre in Nine Mile Ride had fun last week making their own craft items and taking them home, as well as having their faces painted and playing around with Play Dough.

At their visit to the centre’s Toddler Day they also got to see the science and nature exhibitions at the centre.

Rachael Simpson, a mum who takes her two-year-old son Thomas to the centre, said: “My son loves visiting The Look Out, especially splashing around in the stream, and it is a bonus to come on Toddler Days as he really enjoys the make-and-take activities and story telling.

“Luckily The Look Out provides aprons.”

The days are £5.90 for per adult and toddler, which includes the entrance to the exhibition as well as all the activities and materials.

The centre is also putting on a new show called the Toy Box show.

The show opened on Saturday and children can guess which toys are moved by gravity, air, clockwork, electricity or magnets.

Performances are at 11am, midday, 2pm and 3.15pm ant weekends and school holidays.

For more information on the centre call (01344) 354 400.
