Mum-of-five Lesley Webb loses fight for life

February 04, 2010

A woman whose family were desperately raising cash for her to travel to America for treatment for a rare form of brain tumour has died.

Mum-of-five Lesley Webb, 51, of Ambassador in Great Hollands, died yesterday morning after battling for more than a year.

She was suffering from a rare tumour in her frontal lobe and her family had been working tirelessly to raise the £250,000 needed to pay for treatment not available in this country.

Her family members raised more than £25,000 supported by the community in Bracknell.

£250k appeal launched to help save Lesley

Her sister-in-law Wendy Hobden, landlady of the Prince of Wales pub in Shepherds Lane, declined to comment yesterday.
