Interpol plea on body in woods

February 02, 2010

A dead man whose body was found in Priestwood more than a month ago has still not been identified and the case could be passed on to Interpol if no information materialises.

The man, whose death is not considered to be suspicious, was found on Monday, December 14, in woodland near Jock’s Lane.

Police appealed for anyone who who might know who he was to come forward but nobody has.

DI Nick Evans of Bracknell Police said: “He still hasn’t been identified. It could be that he was someone travelling through Bracknell, sleeping rough.

Is this dead man found in Priestwood?

“If no one comes forward we could pass the case on to Interpol so they can try to identify him in other countries. This sort of thing is not unheard of.”

A post mortem examination of the man, who was white, about 6ft, with short greying hair and a receding hairline, revealed he died of a stroke.
