Scouts Go Ape for £1,000 donation

Scouts in Easthampstead were going bananas after their troop received a £1,000 donation from Bracknell’s high wire adventure centre.
Staff at Go Ape in Nine Mile Ride donated the cash to the 1st Easthampstead Scouts as part of the firm’s work to support local causes.
Kelvin Taylor, assistant group leader of the scouts, said: “We would like to thank Go Ape for their very kind generosity in nominating us to receive this donation. The money will be used to complete some work on disabled facilities at the hall and to repair part of the roof that has developed a leak.
“All this will ensure that we can continue to offer scouting to a wide variety of young people for many years to come.”
