Bracknell’s MP is remaining tight-lipped over whether he will have to pay back his wrongly claimed expenses.
Andrew MacKay has yet to return any phone calls from The Standard and the contents of his letter from Sir Thomas Legg remain a mystery.
Mr MacKay is stepping down at the next election after a leaked list revealed he had been claiming expenses for second home on a house his wife, fellow Tory MP Julie Kirkbride, declared as her main home.
