Humpty Dumpty out for Royal Ascot

Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall in Ascot throughout last week – and may have left passing motorists wondering if he’d had a great fall too.
But drivers heading to Royal Ascot races need not have feared because the wall in Locks Ride was wrecked long before - three months ago in fact, after a car crashed into it.
The owners of the wall obviously saw the funny side of the accident when they placed Humpty in the wreckage as part of the road’s annual Scarecrow Parade.
The traditional parade aimed to raise £5,000 for charity from racegoers attending the prestigious five-day festival.
other amusing figures in the pararde included scarecrow representing the royal family, including the Queen, prince Philip, prince Charles and his wife Camilla, duchess of Cronwall.
