Bracknell families plan for 'staycation' this summer
June 17, 2009
One in seven families in Bracknell Forest say they will be cutting back on luxuries this summer.
More than a fifth of families across the borough are unable to afford a holiday abroad and will be braving the British weather for a ‘staycation’ close to home.
They say they are planning to cut back on things like theme parks, trips to the zoo, and eating out this year.
The information comes from research commissioned by fruit squash company Ribena.
It revealed 61 per cent would like more free local things for their families to do in the long summer break.
