Fire breaks out at discovery centre

June 13, 2009

Firefighters spent more than two hours tackling a blaze at the Look Out Discovery Centre this afternoon.

Crews from Bracknell and Wokingham fire stations were called out to the popular facility in Nine Mile Ride just before 2.30pm after receiving reports of a fire within part of the centre's wooded area.

Three fire engines were deployed to the activity attraction, where crews used pumps and hose reels to tackle the fire before bringing it under control just after 4.30pm.

It is not yet known what started the fire.

No one from the centre was available for comment.
