By Lorna Catling
June 08, 2009

Traffic chaos hit a Bracknell this morning after a lorry spilled its load of diesel.

The lorry was near the Twin Bridges roundabout when the accident happened shortly before 9am.

As the diesel spilled, it hit a car causing minor damage but no one was injured.

Firefighters were called to the scene to deal with the incident and prevent the diesel from heading down the drains.

“The lorry just came up the A329M and turned left and as it did so the support strap snapped and the diesel spilled," temporary crew manager Mark James, of Bracknell fire station, said.

“We just had to make sure there were no injuries and stop the diesel going down the drains.”

The Environment Agency has been informed, he added.
