The popular clock fountain in Bracknell town centre may not be preserved when the area is regenerated, it has emerged.
Drawings of the new town centre after its regeneration show Charles Square will be greatly reduced and shop units built on the site of the fountain.
No detailed drawings are available yet but the plans are included in the outline planning application for the town rebuild.

It is thought a water feature will be kept in the town centre but this may not be in Charles Square.
The fountain, near Sejwix Deli, is also a clock and tells the time, with the middle ring of jets representing the hours and the outer ring the minutes.
It tells the time every five minutes, reverting to a random display of water jets in between.
Bracknell Forest Council could not say whether engineers would be able to move the fountain in its entirety or whether a new water feature would have to be built instead.
But Helen Barnett, marketing manager for Bracknell Regeneration Partnership, said: “The clock fountain is a hugely popular feature in the town centre, particularly during the summer months.
“It has always been our intention to relocate or replace it as part of the town centre regeneration.”
Cllr Mary Ballin, vice-chairman of Bracknell town centre regeneration committee, said details such as the fountain will be considered by the committee at a much later date.
But she added: “We are all aware that quite simple things like sand and water are great for families, they love it. That sort of feature is important.”
