Man punched during attempted robbery

March 03, 2009

A man was punched during an attack in a Bracknell street at the weekend.

The 40-year-old man was walking with a friend in Martins Lane in Bullbrook on Sunday evening when a youth on a bike approached them.

The teenager, who was wearing a bubble hat with earflaps, punched the man and demanded money but rode off towards Harmans Water when his victim said he did not have any.

Detectives are appealing for information following the attempted robbery, which happened shortly before 8pm.

The youth, who was white and aged 16 to 17, was wearing a woollen bubble hat with earflaps and a grey hooded top.

He was riding a white bicycle.

Anyone with information can call PC Richard Probert on o8458 505 505 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
