Tots' Christmas party under threat after break-in
December 12, 2008
Forest Park Toddler group’s Christmas party is in jeopardy after the community centre was broken into on Tuesday night and £200 was stolen from the group’s locked cupboard.
The money, which had been collected from parents, was partly for the children’s party on Wednesday 17th December and partly for the parents’ party on 20th December.
The group should be able to cover the children’s party with money which had already been banked for both parties but the parents' party in now in serious doubt.
Jo Shields from the group committee said: “It’s devastating to think that someone would steal from a Toddler group.
"We don’t usually keep money on site but this had just been collected in to finalise the party booking.
