Bingo as Barack wins and stepmum cheers

The Bracknell Obamas are celebrating here and in Kenya after Barack Obama sensationally beat John McCain to the White House.

Barack’s stepmother Kezia Obama received the news early yesterday morning surrounded by family in Kenya, after flying out for the results from her home in Bullbrook.

And Ian Manners, who is divorced from Democrat Barack’s half-sister Auma, stayed at home in Julius Hill, Warfield, to watch the results come in.

Ian told The Standard: “Well, he’s done it. hasn’t he!

“I’ve been in touch with them [in Kenya] and they are just jumping up and down. I think the party will go on for at least a week. Everyone is absolutely buzzing."
