Pupils' relief at A-level results

Hundreds of pupils at Bracknell's schools celebrated yesterday after they got their A-level results.

All but one school in the borough recorded above national average results with overall pass rates of 97 per cent and above.

Wellington College and The Marist School topped the borough's list with a 100 per cent pass rate while Brackenhale School came bottom by far with a pass rate of 78 per cent.

Here are the pass rates for Bracknell and Ascot schools:

- Brakenhale School, 78%.

- Easthampstead Park School, 97%

- Ranelagh School, 98.9%.

- Garth Hill College, 97%.

- Edgbarrow School, 98.2%.

- Sandhurst School, 97%.

- Bracknell and Wokingham College, 97%.

- Wellington College, 100%.

- Charters, 98.3%.

- The Marist School, 100%.

- Licensed Victuallers, 96%.
