Stage-loving youngsters battled it out to be the next George Sampson in their school’s version of Britain’s Got Talent.

Garth Hill College held its very own Garth’s Got Talent to showcase its students' artistic abilities to youngsters from the six primary schools who feed into the school.

The competition, which took place on Friday, June 20, was won by band You Burn 1st made up of Toby Fletcher, Andy Layton, Dom D’Souza, Max Fellows-Yates and Tom Ward.

Competition organiser Sharon Lester, who is the college's head of music, said: “We have some kind of talent show every year.

“The children love it and the standard this year was especially high.”
