A busy year is beckoning for Bracknell's new mayor as he stepped up to represent the borough this week.
Councillor Bob Edger was elected the mayor of Bracknell Forest Borough Council on Wednesday and takes over from Cllr Gill Birch.
The Tory politician engaged in his first official mayoral duty last Friday and his chosen charity of his mayoral year will be Childline.
Cllr Edger said: “When I first walked into the council in May 1990 I never thought I would be standing here as your mayor."
