A politician is fighting to raise awareness of a bus service.

Liberal Democrat Ray Earwicker has criticised the publicity surrounding a privately run, council-subsidised bus service between Little Sandhurst and Camberley.

The service, run by Yateley Taxis and Coaches, ferries passengers on Tuesday and Thursdays from High Street.

It leaves at 9.50am and allows shoppers up to two hours in Camberley.

Mr Earwicker said: “It is clear from the surveys we have undertaken in the area that very few people in Little Sandhurst are aware of this service.”

A council spokesman said: “A timetable for this service appears in the Camberley, Farnborough and Yateley timetable booklet.”
