Global village a food heaven

May 07, 2008

Food, drink and music from all over the world will transform Bracknell this weekend when the town centre becomes a Global Village.

Organised by the Bracknell Regeneration Partnership (BRP), the town centre will be split into four sections; food, music, kids, and art and culture.

Stalls in the Food World in Charles Square will tantalize the taste buds with cuisine from India, Malaysia and South Africa, among others.

Music World, by the bandstand, will keep people entertained with performances by Caribbean, Latin American and Indian artists.

The Arts and Culture World in Crossway will offer products from around the world and Kids World in Broadway will include circus entertainment and craft activities.

Helen Barnett of the BRP said: “Filled with diversity in terms of cuisines, crafts and activities for the kids, the Global Village event will be a wonderful day out for all the family.”

The Global Village event runs from 10am to 4pm on Saturday, May 10.
