Children will be stepping out for charity when a dance competition takes place in Bracknell this Saturday.

The Active Dance Academy (ADA) is organising the talent contest for children aged from four to 16 years from schools all over the area.

The show has been organised to raise funds for the Whizz-Kidz charity, which ADA director Gemma Barnbrook is supporting by running the Reading Half Marathon and London Marathon.

Entry to the show is £1 for children and pensioners and £2 for adults.

As well as the chance to see young people showcase their talents, there will be a cupcake sale, face painting, snacks and a raffle.

Prizes include Champagne, wine, spa treatments, a meal for two at Mya Lacarte in Caversham, a canvas print and two tickets to a Reading Football Club match.

There will be trophies for first, second and third place winners, as well as a goody bag for the winner, donated by Dancia International in Caversham.

The contest will take place at Holly Spring Junior School in Lily Hill Road on Saturday from 2pm to 5pm.
